| Joint National Outdoor Research Arrives in Northern Ireland |
JNOR is delighted to announce that the JNOR model has now been rolled out in the Northern Ireland market. JNOR N.I. is a joint initiative between the members of the Outdoor Media Association (OMA) in Northern Ireland, CBS Outdoor, Clear Channel and JCDecaux and the Poster Specialists, IPM, Kinetic and PML Group. Fire IMC and Navigator Blue have represented the IPA and advertising agencies on the Technical Committee which has overseen the implementation and methodology of the project.
The methodology for JNOR NI is exactly the same as that in the South which means that the audience figures are provided at a net level, taking visibility factors and seasonality into account. A full travel survey of 1,100 face to face interviews with respondents was undertaken. All journeys made by respondent were recorded and mapped using digital mapping. The sample was representative of the population of both Greater Belfast and Northern Ireland. The tracking of the respondents’ journeys produced 290,000 poster passages which are used within the research to calculate reach and frequency.
By highlighting the mediums strengths as well as offering clients a new level of accountability it is expected that JNOR will be a key tool for developing the business in the North. In addition clients will soon have the ability to analyse campaigns on an all Ireland basis for the first time.
JNOR will be available to advertising agencies in a unique Coverage & Frequency Analysis System, CAFAS, that will enable agencies to plan campaigns and provide coverage figures to clients prior to booking.
